Pink eyes and conjunctivitis can prevent you or your child from returning to school or work. It is important to get screened and treated immediately as they are highly contagious.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, it is recommended that parents schedule routine well-baby visits right after birth for weight checks and monitor for any signs of jaundice (yellow pigmentation due to increased bilirubin) specially with premature and high-risk babies.

 First newborn visit should be as early as 3 and 5 days of life.
